Hi everyone, I'm Ryan! I've lurked on this forum for quite a while trying to gather information about the FZ/MT-10 and was fortunate enough to be at the right place/right time to nab a 2022 Cyan Storm in Monterey, California (Monterey Peninsula Power Sports). If you have questions or want pictures taken of specific parts of the bike, I may be able to help! I recently attempted to swap in a tail tidy (Vagabond) for the rear end and found that things are just different enough that it won't work. I'm guessing there will be many parts for the last-gen which will work for the new gen, but will need to be revised to fit the new bodywork. Anyway, thought I'd say hello and offer to answer questions people may have.

Oh wow - you have no idea how jealous I am! I think this is the first documented sale of the bike in the US of the new gen MT-10? My previous OTD quote was 16.5k... I really don't want to see it go any higher than that.
I feel like such a dumbass asking literally the most boring possible question - Does this bike come equipped with the 12v DC outlet? How many miles have you got on it so far? Anything you seriously love? Anything you seriously hate thus far?

I think your OTD was fairly accurate; my breakdown is as follows: - MSRP + Freight + Prep: $15,279.00
- Sales Tax @ 9%: $1382.76
- Doc/License Fees: $282.00
- Reg/Titling: $98.00
- Total Sale: $17,041.76
To answer your questions, YES it does have the 12v "cigarette lighter". I currently have 350 miles on the bike. To give my background, I owned a GSXR 600, then a HD Softail, and traded the Harley in for this MT. I can't compare to the last gen MT-10 since I've never ridden one, but this feels almost more confident/trackable in the corners than my GSXR did. I was also lukewarm on the color, but it has grown on me. I have gotten quite a few compliments from strangers on how unique the cyan is. The front wind screen is useless. That will be one of my first upgrades. The seat is the same (?) as the last gen and is like sitting on a plank of wood. I noticed the seat when latched properly also rattles quite a lot... Despite these inconveniences, I can't put my finger on anything I would say I hate at the moment, but I may just need more seat time to find them.

Nice to see they moved the 12V port to the bars from down next to the headlight. Also love how they blacked out the triples, I need to get mine powdercoated. And I LOVE that full-color dash with all the tech add-ons. All these goodies on the 2022 and they went and made it fugly IMO lol. Also the seat rattle is normal - my 2019 does it lol

But I really like the old gen face a lot more.

Congrats on the new bike. Looks great! I really like the TFT display as well, but I'll stick with my '17 FZ10.

I bought one for my 2019 and it's a good upgrade. I'm curious how they tidied up the rear light area. I was thinking of buying the parts to make my back end look like yours. Can you take a few shots of the rear end with the sea removed please?

After watching a few videos, the subframe and wiring all seem identical to the previous gen (bolt pattern, connectors, etc. are all the same) but the new tail light and body work are different than the last gen. Here are a few from when I had the rear apart- there's no way that tail tidy would fit without some kind of modification. I actually reached out to TST Industries today and they said they had a line on a '22 MT-10 for R&D, which they were hoping would come through soon.

I really can't stand that new red tail light at all. The clear LED unit on the outgoing gen was so much nicer looking

Congrats! And great looking bike. I run East and South Bay quite a bit. Hopefully I’ll see those bright wheels around.

Hi parthz8, sorry for the wait- I took some photos of the front cowl (sorry it's a bit dirty): Without disassembling the front end, it's hard to tell if that lower cowl will mount up; that being said, I did find a schematic of the 2022 front cowl and they don't seem compatible to my eyes: www.yamahapartshouse.com/oemparts/a/yam/620126a0855d4618b03b5c67/cowling-1Maybe someone with better knowledge can chime in.

Yea just looking at it the 2022 has a piece in between the lights that's right where the chin spoiler goes on the previous models. Looks like a completely different headlight bracket
